Sold at 99% of the listing price in 16 days

The owners had been planning to downsize and move back to Louisiana to be closer to family for two years. They were selling the home they built, raised their family in, and enjoyed for 31 years. They felt the need to try and sell their home themselves, for which I provided them with helpful information about the market. After 30 days on the market they asked me to list the property. With appropriate marketing and home tours, we received an offer after being on the market for 16 days. The final sales price was 99% of the list price, with the net sales proceeds to them equal to the amount they were asking when they tried to sell the home themselves.
